Cooper 9651 battery change

Hi, i need to replace the battery in the main box under the stairs. My main concern is the external alarm, if i switch off power to the unit and then open the box the alarm will go off due to the battery i assume in the outside unit. Can i stop the alarm by keying in the code or will the alarm keep going off until i have closed the box again? I am happy to do the job myself but if external alarm is going all the time as i replace the battery i may be inclined to get someone out. If it goes off for 5 seconds and i can key in code and get on with battery changing then i have no issues.

The next question was around what battery is it and from where please?

Veritas pannel issue

Help please, I am working on a property serviced by a Veritas 8 alarm fitted in 2011. House owner tells me that it has been working well until recently when the full set button stopped working, then the part set also stopped so the alarm cannot be set now. Power seems fine the keypad is illuminated, but does not make any noise when buttons are pressed and won't set. Is it a battery issue or a new keypad?? any ideas, thanks. Mushlarky.

Securit 700l beep codes

Recently my Securit 700l has started to randomly emit 4 beeps over the course of about 3 seconds. This has happened about half a dozen times in the last 3 or 4 weeks. The panel does not show any fault indications - just the usual green mains light. Does anyone know what this means?

has anyone any experience with the 3gs having alot of trouble with one and only have hardware and introduction manual no programming
iv also been unable to get a hold of the panleman software for it
any help will be appreciated

Scantronic 9651 engineer code reset

Hi,

I have recently moved into a home where the previous owners had installed a Scantronic 9651 alarm system. They did a user reset when moving out which means I have the user code but not the engineers code. Based on what the manual says I tried to do a complete system reset (to set the engineers code to default) - took off the lid, removed the battery, removed the mains. With the first 2 steps the inside sounder was triggerred and I put in the user code to stop it ringing. However with the last step of removing the mains, the user panel turned off (obvious as the power supply had been removed) but the outside sounder got triggerred and I had no way to stop that. So I had to put the mains back in and punch in the user code to stop the ringing. Any ideas on how to proceed now?

Hi

I have installed some of these sensors and wired them closed circuit ie 6 wire 2 for power, 2 for tamper, 2 for alarm.

My question is do I need to do anything to the breakers and if so which ones?


ALARM has option 4K4, 1K 6K8, 5K6

TAMPER has options 2K2, 1K, 4K7,5K6

If these aren't jumper then its open circuit.

Hope someone can help me, I have been decorating and took the front cover off the alarm sensor ..... it was off for a few days, I then noticed the red wire had come out so I replaced in in one of the little screw panel that looked down .... now the senors in all rooms dont work, the panels at the front door and bedroom door do not light up ..... not sure what to do, I have found the main box and this seems to have power as has a Green light in the top right hand corner ....

Any help any one ? beofre this all worked fine is all rooms and both control panels ?

A big thank-you to Ron (rem alarms) for his invaluable assistance in helping me regain control of my alarm system. Won't go into too much detail here, but using his advice I was able to regain full control of the system, clear out a couple of error messages and finally stop the system sending out chargeable comm's whenever I set the alarm with omits, the added bonus being that all required system settings remain unaffected.

Galaxy 16+ Sensor tamper switch too sensitive

Hi,

I have an ADT-fitted Galaxy 16+ system, which is working normally in daily use. However, Santa recently brought our son a drum kit, and whilst he's bashing away the tamper switch invariably gets triggered on the sensor in the room he's in. Is there a way to exclude this sensor from the tamper detection, or a way to make it less sensitive?

Otherwise if these aren't possible it looks like I can disable the tamper detection by putting the system in engineers mode with the engineers code - I guess I could at least disable it whilst my son is drumming. Any ideas how I get hold of the code required? We're not under contract with ADT, so any pointers anyone here can give would be most appreciated.

Line fault on Aritech 7203

Hi all. I know i've asked this previously but still have a fault on one of our sites. We were asked by a customer to remove his phone line from an Aritech 7203 control panel as he no longer wanted monitoring. Since he has had the line disconnected from BT ,we now have a fault saying 'line fault' on the keypad. Ive searched through the manuals and keypad menu's and cant find how to turn the dialer off and panel is no longer tech supported due to age. Anyone who is familier with aritech help please?

Ademco Galaxy (ADT) Alarm panel

My control panel is reading "engineer rest required" probably caused by the RCD tripping and the back up battery is over 5 years old. Two questions 1. if I depower the panel I assume the alarm will go off until I can disconnect the back up battery inside?
2. Is is possible to find the engineer reset code please. I intend to replace the battery once it is in bits.

C&K Securitech 700l

Hi, new to this - here goes.
My alarm system (Seciritech 700l) which has been in the house since we bought it (8 years ago) has developed a fault after a powercut. It seems that half the keypad does not work and only keys 1,2,4,5,7,8 and # seems to be responding. It all lights up, but only the keys mentioned make it beep on selection. Any ideas?? Help greatly appreciated.

I have a cooper menvier 9930 alarm system and it's developed a tamper fault. How do I reset this as my normal user code doesn't seem to be working. I've been advised to wipe the sensors but this doesn't seem to help. Could you give any help?

Securitech 700l trouble

Hi new to this - here goes.
My alarm was fitting in my house by Alarmfast when we bought it 8 years ago and worked great! We recently had a powercut and when I returned home it showed a tamper. BUT now i am not able to set my alarm and only half the keypad works (keys 1,2,4,5,7,8 and # keys work) the whole pad lights up but the remaining numbers/symbols don't beep to show a selection. The alarm will not set and appears "dead", any help or suggestions greatly appreciated. Model C&K Surcuritech 700l.

Hi I have tried to join forum but still does not seem to be activated is this forum still Active???
What I was trying to find out is about my Bellbox I can't find any details about it no manual .
On the inside of box all it says is Volumatic 1999 label difficult to read.
Iam trying to find out what the circuit board jumper links do and what does the potentiometer does that's marked 20min & 2 min has this got to be activated with the jumper.

Replacing the Scantronic 725r remote

I need to replace a worn out 725r remote handset that is linked to an old Scantronic 9955 rf unit. Obviously the 725r is now obsolete. They still do the 723r, and according to their website it works with 9x5x units. Quick question... does anyone have experience of pairing these to a 9955? I am guessing it will work (same frequency etc) just wanted to check before buying a couple of them.
Any comments would be welcome.
