bell Triger voltage
Hi,
I installed the scantronic 9651en43 with the pyronix deltabellX, But having issues with the bell box sounding when mains power fails seems to be only at night time when bell box back light is on but nothings is logged on panel when it sounds.
On power fail backup battery takes over panel stays as normal doesn't even display that it lost AC power on panel or logs
Pyronixs says it sounds like a voltage drop below 2v that the bell box is seeing causing it to activate. Now I need to test the bell trigger voltage so how can I do that? I guess meter on bell - terminal and what other terminal?
Also I have noticed the supply healthy light on the scantronic panel has never illuminated since install should I be concerned since it clearly has power as its been powered weeks now. More concerning is it doesn't seem to register when AC fails and it falls onto battery is that normal for this panel?
full system seems to work fine generally pir's walk test fine, bell box tests ok, system sets fine and activates on alarm. its just the power issues I need to investigate.
Thanks for any help.

Castle panels
I have come across a Castle C tec 2000 in a pub it is working but the new user wants to change no. ect also he is altering the building and I need a Eng manual to reset the NVM and bring it back to factory settings there is 15 zones on the system and as we know it will cost a lot of money to replace with a panel to take its place . So I am looking for an engineers manual for this range of panels.

Galaxy 16+ showing 'Call alarm company' with code 88791
Our out-of-contract ADT-fitted Galaxy 16+ is showing the message 'Call Alarm Company and quote code 88791' - if I enter the only code I have it shows that there was previously a tamper alarm at one of the sensors. We can't currently set the alarm so I'm guessing some sort of reset is required? Can anyone shed any light on what this is and how I can reset the alarm to normal usage? I don't have an engineer code.
I would also like to stop the alarm from making calls to the alarm company premium rate number when it is set - I'm guessing that this will also require the engineers code?
Any help much appreciated!
Nick

how do I post in 9651 rooms?
hi, I am new and have an issue with my 9651 alarm.
I think the keypad has become faulty after a battery change.
when connected, battery on, mains on. The keypad makes a beeping sound about a second apart. The keypad lights are on (date and time showing) but the keypad is unresponsive to any input. I can type 1234 or any buttons on the keypad and the display doesn't change to at all.
any help would be welcome as I am thinking the worse that I need a replacement keypad

DA Systems Abacus 8 Key Pad
Hi All.
I have a DA Systems Abacus 8 alarm that was already installed when I bought the house. I am guessing it is about 15yrs old, and I want to add an additional keypad to the bedroom so that I can set / unset the alarm without having to go downstairs (I know it is lazy).
I've spoken to a few local companies, but they tell me the system is obsolete and I need to purchase a brand new alarm from them instead. I fully accept that this is probably true, but I want to see if there are any compatible keypads that will work with this system before I shell out for a new alarm.
Does anyone know if I can use another type of keypad with this alarm ?
Or better still....does anyone have one in their old junk pile of spares :-)
Details are:
DA Systems
Abacus 8R MR Version 2122
Thanks,
Steve

Window vibration sensor
i've had my double glazing replaced this necessitated the need to remove the window sensors 7 in total from different windows. Everything looked okay and I re-attached them however I'm not sure of the diamond shaped part goes up any particular way. Long story short the alarm won't arm and indicates zone 8 which is the window sensors. I'm not sure how to isolate which sensor/s are giving me the problem. Any advice appreciated. I've attached a picture of the sensor and part I'm not sure which way up it goes..thanks John.

pyronix, cant enter engineer mode
Hi all, Just wanted to remove the panel cover today to adjust the speaker volume but when trying to enter the engineer code it wouldn't work. I have been in engineers mode before so cant understand why it wont work today. Also I did find that when i put alarm on as full set, it alerts me with alarm light on and loud siren. After carrying out a walk test i found that none of the upstairs pirs gave off a chime but they do light up. The log shows that zone 5 is causing the issue but im unable to identify this zone with none of the upstairs sensors activating on the walk test.
p.s I did manage to adjust the volume by removing the cover and disabling the alarm but now the sensors are bugging me.
Any help appreciated

Howdy all. I've been led to believe an R8 couldn't support an English text keypad; you have to upgrade the panel, but a customer is insistent that it can. Does anyone know?

Scantronic 9651
HI everyone...
I've got Scantronic 9651 alarm fitted in my house since 2007, and its not given me any trouble until two days back, where all of a sudden it woke us up by beeping in the middle of the light...
upon entering the code it gave me an error message saying "batt missing" now after looking at the user manual it means that battery is missing and needs replacing i believe...
having no clue of what to do.. i tried to ring the alarm company called "NSA ALARMS" in leicestershire, however they've gone BUST... and now i have no idea what to do... as the alarm starts beeeping randomly... after every couple of hours.. and its killing me as i have to get up in the middle of night run down and make it stop beeping.
Can anyone help me as what to do? where do i get the battery.. if i get it how would i fit it? i did try to open the main panel and the alarm went crazy beeping and waking up the entire neighbourhood.
I dont have the engineer's code or anything... please help...
ideally i would like the alarm to be in working order.. however if not.. id just be glad if i could just mute it or whatever.. so atleast the beeping stops and i can sleep in peace...
Thanks.
