Help with bell termination on board

Can anyone tell me which is the bell circuit/termination etc
Any help appreciated

Accenta G4 with Viper GLX double knock

I'm installing the Accenta G4 with door contacts, pirs and 3 Viper glx shock sensors. Both the panel and the vipers have the option to set double knock, so the question is to those of you familiar with these, which would be better double knock? They seem to act quite differently.

C& Securit 023-203 - No Mains Light

I needed to replace a ceiling rose yesterday and shut off the power to the lights at the breaker. The alarm control panel flashed all lights and the exit sounder started making a noise (more muted that the normal sound). There is now no main light illuminated on the panel although the keys still light up and sound when pressed. The system does not respond to the code when entered. The alrm is not regularly used and has never (to my knowledge) been maintained. It is about 13 years old. Is there a maintenance manual available or can anyone give me advise on how to fix it. I don't want to call an engineer if all it needs is a new battery.

Having had problems with 9651 recently the control panel now reads "gloabal tamper front door call engineer". Wont allow me to reset at att. Any ideas please???

Galaxy Keypad change over

Hi guys,

I hope somebody can help. Thanks in advance for any guidance.


I have a job where I need to swap over a galaxy keypad...the new one is a MK8 CP051.

I was just wondering what the programming implications of this were? Will the panel send all new data the keypad etc 

I don't have any engineer codes, just user??

Max3 reader

Hey,

I have a question regarding the Max3 Reader, i have installed 2 of these the 1 today has given me confusion-
when i installed one on the galaxy 48 the red light stays on all the time if the system is set or unset, it sets and unsets the alarm as it should.

i installed one today on a galaxy 60, the red light stays on when its unset and when the alarm is set the orange (read light) stays on when the alarm is set is this right? by the way the alarm still sets and unsets as it should Confused

I've just received a batch of 6, 8 and 12 core. Is it me, or are these cables getting thinner ? the twelve core is as thin as four core.

What does the red flashing led indicate on this rapier bell box
Does it indicate that is working normally or does it indicate a Problem like the batteries need replacing
Have trawled the net but cant find any info

Scantronic 9651 Lid Tamper Reset

I have recently replaced the battery in my 9651, and now have spanner fault light on with the message Lid Tamper, followed by reset on the control panel. Checked the panel is secure on the box but I cannot clear these with the user1 code. Have you any suggestions ??

9751 alarm with tamper fault

Folks,

I have inheritted an alarm system with the purchase of a new house. It's a Watson Alarm system but it's basically a Scantronic 9751 system with 9930 control panel - rebadged.

The 9930 had a broken tamper switch so acquired a replacement.

I have the install and user manual but it seems the defualt engineer code has been changed, I presume by Watsons, so I cannot reset the damn system to use it.

I believe there may be a way to reset the system (shorting pins) but will this just reset the codes or the whole system back to factory defualt and thus require complete re-progarmming from scratch.

I have no paper work to tell me which PIR or door entry/exit sensor is on which Output (but could work this out by process of elimination).

Basically can someone help me out here please.

hi i have a accenta g4 with two keypads one down stairs one in the bedroom the problem is when i come to full set alarm it just keeps on beeping it is saying program 1 set but just keeps beeping and will not set any ideas its driving me nuts thanks Sad

Abacus 8/80, reseting master code without code?

Hi, im a member of a Hackspace that has moved into a new location,
At the new space there is a old abacus 8/80 that no one knows the master code for,
The past owners don't know what the code is either,
Anyone have a engineering manual or any tips on getting the master code reset?
I can supply a picture of my rfid card for the space if needed.

Help, I have just connected the battery on a new install and before I can put in the access code the bell box is going mental, have I wired something incorrectly? I have all the tamper in series and each zone sharing a common, with 2 spare zones on the board, it is wired CCL so no resistors, there are 5 PIR's and one set of door contacts, no matter what I do I cannot stop the alarm until it times out.

Can anyone tell me if you have to put a link in unused zones on the 9651 as I have a new install and as soon as it is linked to the battery the outside bell is going off and no amount of button pressing stops the ringing.
