How can I reset Scantronic 9651

Hi,

I need to reset the house alarm as it was set off while out at work, we tried resetting it last year but could not figure it out and left it as had just moved in and couldn't afford to get an engineer in. Its now a year later and really want to get sorted. Seem to remember the box was flashing Global Tamper - Door. I have been reading past threads to try and find out how to do it. I cant even remember what alarm code we used so it seems (if ive understood things correctly) that I can reset it by using the engineers code 07890 or a default code 01234 and then I have to go and acknowledge the fault in order for the red spanner light to go out.
I tried to do this yesterday and the alarm seemed to be going off within the alarm box but not outside then after about 10 mins it stopped.
The box is now showing the time and date although it is not correct, im not sure what to do from here.
I have managed to download an installation manual that has a section on programming which my user manual does not have and I have been reading it, I am sure it must tell me exactly what I need to do but im scared of just guessing and setting the whole thing off again. Neighbours wont be happy nor will my 2 year old.

Could any of you experts help me please, I am a female and not experienced in these things so the simpler the terms the better.

Galaxy Flex "log 90%" Message

Hi,

On the Galaxy Flex, does anyone please know what "log 90%" means? Although it is listed in Appendix B of the Installers manual there is no description with it.

Background:
Coming home and unsetting the alarm, a text message alert was sent "Log 90%". The Bell did not go off, nor did the keypad's own alarm. Just the text message sent. Even the keypad's display stayed normal!
I've looked through the log to see if there is any unusual event preceding this one but there is no other event listed other than the expected set / unset events of previous days.

Now, I do recall hearing a "beep" or two the night before this "fault" but thought it was dying batteries on the smoke alarm. There were only maybe three over the course of the evening (i.e. not every minute as expected) and again the following morning. With hindsight I do think it was the keypad being at me but the display on the keypad did not display any warning.

Anyway, the alarm still sets and unsets just fine, but I don't understand why I got this warning.

9651 power light - always off

Power light always off - seemingly.

This is really the tail end of another standard "how do I engineer reset my panel when I don't know the code or anything about this system or alarms in general" thread. I needed to relocate a PIR and a Panic Alarm switch because I'n doing some building work. Ron kindly helped me offline while my login became activated; wires detached, threaded through wall board and reatached and no sirens went off - and I know a bit about how my system works.

BUT...
I was very confused at the first step of removing power from the system, when there was absolutely no change on the panel. The Ron supplied manuals said that the power led should be flashing when the power failed and glow with the power back on. Mine was just off. The book said this means "the system is dead" , but it wasn't as it annoyed the neighbours when I tampered and user-reset ok etc.
Everything happily worked ok with the procedure to reset the engineer and user passcode to their installtion default.

BUT(again) ...I've since noticed that if I put in the engineer code (installer mode) or user code (set?), at that point the power light behaves; comes on normally AND flashes at power loss. Then it goes stubornly off again when installer mode or user mode ends.

Is this novel or normal - I am reading the manual wrong?
Its not a problem impacting my life, just an anomally.

What does the panel think?

Just sent you an email regarding a global tamper message. My code does not reset it - happened when I changed the battery on the side door contact.
It seems I would need the engineer reset. Would be grateful for any help Image may be NSFW.

Scantronic i-ON EX (85EN) Need Manual & Advice.

Hello,

Iv just taken over a job that another firm had left unfinished (ferm went into administration). I mainly took it over for the fire alarm side of it but the client would like me to finish the intruder alarm as well. I didn't really mind since I did used to install intruder a few years back, but I only used Texecom Premier equipment. Never used Scantronic before.

Most of all the equipment for the burglar alarm is fit, a bell and a couple of pirs to put up in the main building then a little out building to finish. The burglar alarm has not been powered up yet so when its finished I will need to commission it.
So first of all does anyone have any of these manuals?

Programming manual for the control panel Scantronic i-ON EX (i believe is an EN85)
Programming manual for the I-GSM02 plug on communicator module
Config software tool for the laptop if possible too Image may be NSFW.

Second thing...

This little outbuilding that needs finishing, a duct grade 8 core cable has been run to this outbuilding from the main intruder panel location.. but that's it.

In this outbuilding, I need to fit a remote keypad, a door contact and 2 pir's.
Can you buy a keypad that has zone outputs or will I just need to fit a zone expander?

TELECOM FAILURE ON ADT GALAXY 8

Hi im looking for some help on how to turn off the telecom failure as in disconnect temporarilly. i have a phone line issue at the min which is why the failure is coming up but it keeps sounding the inside horn.beeps (very loudly) every 5 mins so i have to keep putting in my code. my phone line will be down till at least 2morrow night and i cannot have this sounding every 5 minutes..

i have contacted adt and they want £10.00+ +vat to turn off then turn back on ? is there no way i can do this please help or sledgehammer is going through box thanks a very frustrated mee.. pps alarm is monitored...

Cooper 9651 Alert Sounding

Hi,

We're renting a house with a 9651 alarm system and been living here a year. We were never given any access code for the system and we've never used it. I've asked the landlord about it and he doesn't even know any access codes. The installer of course, has gone out of business.

It's never been a problem as we don't feel we really need the system, however tonight the keypad has started beeping incessantly and I have no way to turn it off. The Alert lamp is lit (triangle with an exclamation mark) and the display panel just reads the date and time and "ACTIV SECURITY".

I'm afraid to open it up to look for a battery, but we won't be able to sleep with it tonight as is. Any help out there?

Sorry but I have another tamper light issue with my scantronic. The alarm sounded whilst I was in and the alarm was off, I input my code which stopped it however the tamper ligth remains on. Ive read some threads on here suggesting it could be the battery? If so and I attempt to change it will this set the alarm off again? And will I need a special/engineers code to reset it? Thanks

Hello,

We are renting a house that has a Scantronic 9651 system. We were never given any access code for it and I've asked our landlord and he doesn't know any code. The installer has of course since gone out of business.

It's not normally an issue since we don't feel we have a need for it. Mostly we just ignore it--until last night when the keypad started beeping incessantly. The amber triangle is glowing (not flashing) and the display shows the date/time and "ACTIV SECURITY". I can't get it to stop without a code and no one here knows any code. Worse come to worse, I think my landlord will call an electrician. Unless someone here can give me advice on anything I can do to make it stop. Anyone?

Scantronic 9651

We had our alarm system go off last night randomly...
We could not get the controller to turn the alarms off so I had to disconnect the main unit from the power supply and remove the battery to get the internal alarm to go quiet. The outside alarm did its stuff for 15mins which at 11.30pm was great for the locals..........
I refitted the battery and reinstalled the mains supply and we had silence all night but I have no display on the controller so I have no idea what the fault was or how to stop it happening again.
Can anyone help with some direction please?

Hi
Disturbed the alarm key pad and now have the K01 Excess keys reset required message which I can't seem to clear !

Have read the installation and programming guide but everything I try doesn't work !

Would appreciate help !!!

Hi
Bumped the keypad box. Alarm went off and deactivated it by entering my user code. Now I have the K01 excess keys reset required message.

I have the installation and programming guide but nothing I seem to try clears the error.

Can anyone help ?!

does anyone know of a decent wholesaler of the hkc panels and accessories within uk.
I'm based in Midlands.
Tried a google search and they seem to be more popular in Ireland.
Usually use pyronix or texecom.
Seen one on a site I was working on and thought I'd check out prices because they look pretty good.

Control Panel has died

Hi there,

I have an alarm installed in my house, but have not actually used it for a very long time.

So although it's always been lit up, I never armed it as when I recently had new doors fitted they did not attach the sensors.

Anyway, yesterday we had a power cut that lasted 16 hours. Since then the control panel has not lit up and so is unresponsive. The alarm outside has been going off for a while ( although not at full blast it seems ).

I removed the front panel and can see there are a couple of green lights on, so it seems to be getting power from somewhere but nothing happens when pressing buttons or turning the electric at the mains off and on.

Also, I have no idea what make/model it is so appreciate its very limited information I am giving.

Just wondering if there is a'general' reason this might be happening and if it is likely to involve lots of money to sort it

Scantronic 9751 - battery change

We have bought a house with a Scantronic 9751 and a 9930 keypad. The previous owner gave us the code but no other instructions.

It has recently started giving off an endless series of beeps at random intervals. Putting in the code stops it but it starts again fairly soon (as in several times a day).

We can scroll through the problems which are as follows:

Bell Tamper
Exp Tamper
K01 Tamper
RF Sup Fail 209
RF Sup Fail 210
RF Sup Fail 211
RF Sup Fail 212
RF Sup Fail 213
RF Sup Fail 214
Batt Missing
Global Tamper Zone 1

so I'm guessing it needs a new battery (at a minimum). How do we go about changing it.

Hey all ..... Been to a site today with one of these panels installed with 2 keypads.
Customer has just bought the house and has NO user or Engineer Codes/Manuals.
I've found the manuals but can't see where you can default the system to factory settings when ALL codes have been lost only from Engineer mode.
